Data Methodology

RunStaffRun is built on a commitment to sourcing contact data responsibly. This page explains exactly where our Physician Assistant contact database comes from, how it is verified, and what standards govern its use.

01

Source: Professional Association Membership

The core of the RunStaffRun database consists of Physician Assistant professionals who have publicly affiliated themselves with recognized PA professional organizations. These are practicing PAs and PA students who have opted into professional association membership — a clear signal of professional identity and active engagement in the PA community.

Professional association membership data is treated as public professional identity information, consistent with standard B2B data sourcing practices across the recruiting and staffing industry.

02

Cross-Reference: NPPES NPI Registry

All PA contacts in the database are cross-referenced against the CMS National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) — the official federal database of licensed US healthcare providers maintained by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

The NPPES registry is a publicly available federal dataset updated weekly. It confirms professional identity, licensure, and taxonomy classification for every active NPI holder. Cross-referencing against NPPES ensures that contacts in the RunStaffRun database correspond to real, licensed PA professionals. The NPPES dataset is freely redistributable per CMS data dissemination policy.

03

Email Verification

Every email address in the database is run through a trusted third-party email verification service before being made available to subscribers. Verification checks each address for deliverability — identifying valid, invalid, catch-all, role-based, and risky addresses.

Contacts are flagged with their verification status so subscribers know the quality of each record before outreach. Subscribers can also re-verify any contact in real time using verification credits, which trigger a fresh deliverability check at the time of use.

04

Student Identification

PA students are identified and labeled separately from active professionals within the database. Subscribers can filter to show professional contacts only, student contacts only, or both. This distinction ensures recruiters understand exactly who they are reaching — a practicing PA-C versus a student in training — before making contact.

05

Ongoing Refresh and Maintenance

The database is updated on a regular basis. NPPES cross-reference data is refreshed weekly in line with CMS update cadence. Email verification is performed on an ongoing basis to identify and flag contacts whose deliverability status has changed. Contacts confirmed invalid are removed from active availability.

06

Removal Requests

Any Physician Assistant whose professional contact information appears in the RunStaffRun database may request removal at any time. Removal requests are processed within 5 business days and the contact is permanently suppressed from the database and from all future subscriber exports.
